How do I send and receive faxes FOR FREE?

I've been using FaxZero for years. When I recently bought and sold my principal residence, I sent all of my faxes with FaxZero. As the name implies, it costs nothing to send a fax using this service. With the FaxZero service, you have two choices:

Up to two 3-page free faxes per day; and FaxZero will put a (big) ad on the cover page...perfect for sending directions to a real estate agent or lawyer.

or

A priority-delivered maximum 15-page fax with no ad on the cover page for just $1.99 paid for with Paypal...which is perfect for sending your resume off to that hot job prospect.

The free faxes are fast and easy. Fill in the required information, and you'll get a confirmation e-mail. Click on the email link and your fax is sent. Then whether your fax was delivered successfully or not, you'll get another email telling you so. And the best thing I like about the FaxZero service? It's pay-per-use. There are no monthly charges.

What if you want to receive faxes? I just found this new service - faxdigits.com - possibly the only free fax receive service in the world which makes it definitely worth a bookmark. You sign up for this service and are issued a fax number to give out. I am in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada; the fax number I was issued has a 641 area code making it Central Iowa where the faxdigits company is located - but with VOIP and cable phones quickly replacing the world's Bell lines, the fact that it's a "long-distance" number doesn't matter as much as it used to.

So, for you dear readers, I signed up for this service, was issued my number sent myself a fax. Moments after sending I received an email notifying that a fax was waiting and so I logged into my faxdigits account and "vye-ola!" A good quality PDF sitting right there for viewing or download - what a fantastic service!
