What is Jott?

Jott is a service that will convert your voice into email or a text message. You call a toll-free number and leave a voice message. Jott will translate your spoken words into text (amazingly well in fact,) and then forward the text to an email address or send a text message to a cell phone.

Here's an example... I use Jott when I'm away from home or in the car, to send myself a quick email reminder. Here's how it works: From my cell phone, I call 1-866-JOTT-123. Since I'm a member, Jott can identify me via caller ID. Jott says "Who do you want to Jott?" I say "myself" and then leave a message, up to 30 seconds. In a few moments, an email arrives in my inbox, with the text transcription of the message I spoke.

I can even Jott to Twitter. Jott says "Who do you want to Jott?" I say "twitter" and then leave a message, up to 30 seconds. Again, in a few moments, my Twitter page is updated and my Twitter friends are SMS'd my spoken message - now as text...

Sweet, simple, and somewhat addictive. Jott is definitely worth a few minutes.
